First, visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, a powerful and sobering reminder of the Holocaust and the tragedy of World War II. With a knowledgeable local guide, you will explore key sites such as the Auschwitz barracks, original gas chamber and crematorium, and the infamous “Arbeit Macht Frei” gate. Then continue to Birkenau, where you’ll see the remains of prisoner barracks, crematoria, and the historic railway ramp.

Afterward, discover the breathtaking Wieliczka Salt Mine — one of Poland’s most extraordinary and fascinating monuments. Follow an underground path through stunning chambers, salt sculptures carved by miners, and the magnificent Chapel of Saint Kinga. Your expert guide will bring the rich history of this UNESCO treasure to life.

        • TRANSPORT: For transportation, we use minibuses, minivans and coaches. If you have motion sickness or any other issues related to traveling by car, please inform us in advance. The travel time depends on the weather and road conditions, so it may be extended.
        • VISIT: The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum attracts numerous visitors daily. Exploring at your own pace may not be feasible due to the high volume of visitors. It is essential to maintain appropriate and respectful behavior while in the camps. The dress code is smart casual, reflecting the solemnity of the site. Activities such as eating, smoking, and loud behavior are strictly prohibited within the Museum premises.
        • PICKUP: A few hotels in Krakow are situated in traffic-restricted areas. Your pickup will be arranged from the nearest accessible point, and you will receive notification.
        • DEPARTURE: According to the museum’s regulations, every tour operator is required to provide a complete list of participants. Once the museum confirms the tour time, the operator has 24 hours to submit this list, and after it has been sent, no further changes can be made.  For this reason, all operators first collect the participants’ details and only then request an entry time from the museum. The time you select when booking is therefore an indication of your preferred departure time, not a confirmed entry time. The museum assigns the actual entry time only after your reservation is submitted.  We kindly advise you not to schedule any time-sensitive activities on the day of your visit — such as flights, train departures, or other fixed plans — that could be affected by possible adjustments to the entry time.  To keep you fully informed, we contact each guest two days before the tour to provide the estimated time window for departure and to confirm the final pick-up location.
        • TEMPERATUR: The temperature inside the mine is around 17°C, but please be aware there can be drafts near the shafts, so it might feel colder.
        • BAG SIZE: Please be aware that entry to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is not allowed with large bags or backpacks. The maximum permissible size is 30cm x 20cm x 10cm. You can securely leave your bags in your car, which will be locked during your visit.
        • SECURITY: Please be prepared to undergo a security check, similar to airport procedures, before entering the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
        • CHILDREN: Children must be accompanied by an adult, and infant seats are available for younger children. Due to the potentially traumatic nature of the visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, we recommend that visitors be at least 13 years old.
        • PICTURES: Visitors are generally permitted to take photographs, with a few exceptions clearly indicated. However, taking photos inside buildings using flash is strictly prohibited. In the mine due to the large number of stairs, we recommend bringing a baby carrier, as using a stroller may be difficult
        • CONTACT: We confirm all tours via messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Viber, Signal, and Telegram. According to us and our clients, this is the most convenient form of communication. If you don't use any of them, don't worry, we'll send you an email. Emails are sent through the system, so please also check your spam folder to ensure you don't miss our message.
        • GROUP: The group is of the standard size recommended by the museum, typically ranging between 16 and 30 people.
        • VISITING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: There is a lot of walking at the museum, so the visit is not recommended for people with mobility difficulties. The museum is not adapted for wheelchair use. The paths are made of compacted earth and gravel, with stones and holes that make it difficult to move around in a wheelchair. All exhibitions in the first camp are located inside buildings that are not wheelchair accessible because of stairs — to see anything inside, you must be able to enter on foot. However, if you still wish to visit as much as possible, please note that the guide has a limited time to complete the tour of both camps for safety reasons and cannot extend it. This means the guide may decide that you will need to follow the group’s pace. If you plan to bring your own wheelchair, please inform us right after booking and send us a picture of it so we can check whether we are able to transport it. If we are not informed in advance and it turns out at pickup that the driver cannot fit the wheelchair into the luggage compartment, the driver may refuse to take it without the possibility of a refund for the tour. There is also an option to rent a wheelchair at the museum. If you would like to use this service, please let us know in advance so we can reserve one for you. Please note that this depends on the museum’s availability at the time of your visit. Salt Mine tour is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties or those using wheelchairs. There are 800 steps to go down, which cannot be avoided.
        • For organizational reasons, it may happen that you will visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine first and then go to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. This change is due to the availability of guides at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, which we must adjust to. This change will not affect the tour program in any way.
        What to bring
          • DOCUMENTS: The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum requires the verification of personal information, necessitating the submission of full names for all individuals included in the booking. It is also imperative to have your passport or identification card on hand, as it might be inspected upon entry to the museum. Not presenting these documents could lead to being refused admission.
          • SECURITY: Please be prepared to undergo a security check, similar to airport procedures, before entering the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
          • CLOTHING: We kindly ask you to wear comfortable shoes, as there will be a lot of walking, and to dress appropriately for the temperature underground in the Salt Mine
          • WEATHER: Our operations run regardless of weather conditions. You will spend up to 70% of your time outdoors, particularly at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Therefore, we advise you to dress accordingly for the weather and bring water, especially on sunny days..
